Place Vertu Redevelopment

Montreal, Quebec

Set in a vibrant, multicultural neighborhood in Montreal, our client approached us with a bold vision: to transform their dated and underutilized mall property into a densified and dynamic live-work-play community. The projected redevelopment includes the partial demolition of the existing mall, the addition of new residential towers, and the creation of a public-facing retail high street connected to public transit.

At the heart of our design was the ambition to create a strong new identity for the neighbourhood. We reimagined the retail expression with a pedestrian-friendly high street and a bold new mall entrance. At the heart of the community is a public plaza designed to serve as a year-round gathering space for events and everyday life, strengthening the social fabric of the neighbourhood.
